D-Marie Bio

 

Hey what’s up? I am D-Marie and you can catch me M-F noon to 5pm! I love playing a mix of pop, rock, and rap! I love pop-culture and enjoy talking about the latest celebrity gossip, movies, and music news!

 

 When I was little, I always wanted to be an actress. I studied acting, got some small TV and film roles then moved to L.A. when I was eighteen. I really enjoyed acting but felt like there was something missing. I went to dinner with some music producers and friends when one of them told me that I should consider voice-over work or radio. So I went to his studio to lay down some sample vocals and loved it! I truly felt like I had found my calling. That week I applied to Los Angeles Valley College (yes, I was a Valley girl!) and was accepted into their radio and television broadcasting school! I had a blast in school but knew that I was ready to try and make a career out of it! My sister had been living in Bend for the past five years and I loved the area! I got an interview with Mike Flanagan (program director) for Power 94 and then six months later got a second interview and was hired! I feel so lucky to be able to wake up everyday and be able to do what I love doing! I have now been with Power 94 since 2007 and am so happy to be living in Central Oregon. There is still a lot of Central Oregon that I am looking forward to exploring! In my free time I enjoy going to the movies, shopping, drinking lots of non-fat vanilla lattes, going to concerts, cooking, reading, going out dancing,….chocolate, flowers, red wine and romantic picnics in the park! I am a Gemini, 5’6’….. Okay, I am kidding about the last part it was just starting to sound like an internet dating profile! J 

 

Lastly, I just want to say thank you for embracing me and tuning into the station! I hope to meet all of you at one of our great Power 94 events or parties!
